If you have taken or intend to take your UST system out-of-service with the intention of upgrading, replacing, or removing it, the Storage Tanks Section wants you to be aware of the financial assistance offered through the UST Loan Assistance Program. Owners of fewer than five facilities in Vermont are eligible for 10-year, interest-free loans of up to $150,000 for these types of projects. For owners of five or more facilities, there is a fixed interest rate of 2%. The program is financed by the Petroleum Cleanup Fund (PCF) and has been operating since 1990.
