Permit Assistance

The Environmental Assistance Office (EAO) provides permit assistance through the Permit Navigator tool and Project Review Sheets. You can use the Permit Navigator to help you identify what environmental permits you may need for a project on a single parcel. If you have a linear, polygon, or multi-parcel project, you will need a Project Review Sheet to help you identify the necessary environmental permits or approvals. A Community Assistance Specialist can help you get started.

Both the Permit Navigator and Project Review Sheet can serve as a helpful guide to individuals, communities, towns, businesses, and other state permit applicants. You receive an initial determination of environmental permits and learn about other state permit requirements as well. For each applicable permit or approval, you can view the agency, department, and contact information. You can then make an informed decision about the cost and length of time required to comply with state regulations. This increases the likelihood that projects will meet requirements to ensure environmental and public health protection.
