​Clean Water Board Meeting - October 13, 2021

  • Meeting Purpose: The Clean Water Board will review and approve the draft State Fiscal Year 2023 clean water budget, including Clean Water Fund, Capital Bill, and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars, before posting for public comment.

Special Clean Water Board Meeting - August 12, 2021, 3:30-4:30 pm

  • Meeting Purpose: The Legislature appropriated $10 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in the SFY 2022 budget for allocation by the Clean Water Board. The Clean Water Board will meet Thursday, August 12, 2021, to consider and approve the addition of the ARPA funds to the current year budget, so that these funds can be deployed. In addition, the Board may consider and approve adjustments to Clean Water Fund allocations, if necessary, to align all available funding with Board priorities. During this meeting, the Board will also review updated Clean Water Fund revenue forecasts and preview the SFY 2023 clean water budget process (begins September 2021); there will be an additional allocation of $10 million in ARPA funds available in SFY 2023 for allocation by the Board.

Vermont Clean Water Initiative Program State Fiscal Year 2021 Funding Policy - Public Presentation

The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation’s (DEC) Clean Water Initiative Program (CWIP) will present an overview of the newly released State Fiscal Year 2021 Funding Policy, summarize updates, and answer questions during a virtual event Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

Public Meeting: Upper Connecticut River Tactical Basin

Thursday, February 11th, 2021,  6:30 -8:00 pm

Vermonters are invited to attend a virtual public forum to review and provide feedback on a collaborative watershed action plan for the Upper Connecticut River Basin. The plan encompasses the Upper Connecticut River and streams that flow to it from the Canadian border down to the Passumpsic River.

Developed in partnership with members of local communities, state, and federal agencies, watershed groups, regional partners, and agricultural partners the basin plan covers four key areas:

  • Current water quality conditions
  • Strategies to protect and improve local waterways
  • Tactics to address water quality concerns.
  • Funding and technical assistance for projects

Public Hearing on Proposed Changes to Pollution Abatement Facility Operator Rule

The Department is pleased to announce that the proposed changes to the Pollution Abatement Facility Operator Rule have been filed with the Secretary of State on Tuesday January 26th, 2021.  Additional information about the proposed changes is available on the Wastewater Rulemaking web page.

The Department has scheduled a public hearing to solicit comment on the proposed changes to the Pollution Abatement Facility Operator Rule.  The hearing will take place online at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 9th, 2021.  To attend the meeting, please click the link below.

These meetings are part of the formal process of adopting the Clean Water Service Provider Rule. Attendees at the meeting will be able to provide comment on the proposed rule. Visit the Act 76 webpage to find the Clean Water Service Provider Rule and additional information.
