Potential projects and responsibilities could include:
- Recruit and lead volunteers
- Community and business outreach and education
- Organize, plan, and manage projects
- Planning and conducting events
- Map with GIS
- Treat and manage invasive species to improve water quality and ecosystems
- Water quality sampling
- Engaging the public through science communication
- Develop tools to face climate anxiety
- Develop restoration action plans
- Repair café resource toolkit and provide technical assistance to communities offering repair cafés; learn about repair cafes
- Develop Recycling Program for Bulky Waste Materials
- Educate residents on the Universal Recycling Law
- Meet with leaders in the environmental field
- Embark on ECO service days and projects as a cohort
- Take part in professional development and training events
- Collaborate with cohort to further develop ECO's DEI Strategy
