Final 2018 Air Monitoring Network Plan

In accordance with adopted federal EPA regulation, 40 CFR Part 58, Subpart B §58.10(1), the Vermont Air Quality & Climate Division is required to submit to EPA by July 1, 2018 an air monitoring network plan for the State of Vermont. The regulation requires that the network plan be posted on the AQCD website or other form of notification for public comment 30 days prior to submission to the EPA Region 1 Office. The 2018 Network Plan was posted on the “public notice” section of AQCD website from 5/25/18 through 6/26/18. During this period, the VT AQCD received no public comments.

Tactical Basin Plan - Basin 10 - Watersheds drained by the Black & Ottauquechee Rivers

The Black and Ottauquechee River Tactical Basin Plan (herein referred to as the Basin 10 Plan) provides an overall view of the health of the region’s waters and defines on-going and future actions to address high-priority stressors. This Plan includes targeted actions to achieve the State’s water quality goals laid out in the Vermont Clean Water Act, the Vermont Surface Water Management Strategy and the Long Island Sound Total Maximum Daily Load. The actions are described in the Summary Implementation Table in Chapter 5 and in the online Watershed Projects Database.

Wetland Delineation Consultant Improvements

The Agency of Natural Resource (ANR) Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Wetlands Program retained consultation services from the Vermont Certified Public Managers Program (VCPM®) in November 2017 to assist with Wetland Consultant Accountability. This is their final report which outlines action items for improving the quality of wetland delineation work throughout the State.
