The 2024 Vermont Organics Recycling Summit (VORS), held the week prior to International Compost Awareness Week, will include an in-person kick-off on Monday, followed by a variety of virtual events throughout the week. This year, VORS will highlight the many ways composting and compost use act as climate solutions through sequestering carbon in the soil, enhancing soil health, promoting sustainable agriculture practices, promoting water conservation, reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers, and nurturing biodiversity.
