Registration is now open for the 2017 Lake Seminar. The 13th annual seminar will be held on June 2nd at the Canadian Club in Barre. The theme for this year's annual spring seminar is "Pathways to Healthy Lakes." Keynoter speaker, Rebecca Lindenmyer of the Linden L.A.N.D. group, will share her experiences with integrating nature into the design of our buildings and landscapes. Additional morning presentations include a session on the new municipal road standards and slope stabilization methods for roads along lakes, an address from Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Julie Moore, and information about funding opportunities through the Leahy summit. Afternoon workshops cover a variety of topics including cyanobacteria monitoring, aquatic invasive species decontamination, lake-friendly landscaping, and a field trip to North Montpelier Pond to learn about the Vermont Invasive Patroller program, see the full agenda for more information.
