UST Owner/Operator Training

The federal Energy Policy Act of 2005, in part, created the requirement for UST operator training. The requirement was incorporated into Vermont's UST Rules in 2009, and it went into effect in 2012. The current UST Rules, effective October 26, 2020, made no changes to the requirements. All facilities in Vermont with category one tanks (COTs) now have a designated Class A, B, and C operator. One person can hold all three designations. Find more information below along with links to training/tests.
