Upcoming Ecosystem Restoration Grant Opportunities, Webinars Scheduled May 25th and June 13th

The Clean Water Initiative Program will be releasing multiple Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for clean water funding over the next several weeks. Details are outlined below. 

River Corridor Conservation Easements: Support for implementation of priority river corridor easements to reduce flood hazards, and improve water quality and wildlife habitat.

Release Date: May 11th - Request for Proposal/Application
Application Due Date: June 21st

Clean Water Block Grants: Support for statewide partner(s) to administer a program that will support the completion of “construction-ready” clean water improvement projects identified on the  DEC Watershed Projects Database "Go List."

Anticipated Release Date: May 22nd  
Application Due Date: June 5th

Ecosystem Restoration Grants: Support for the design and construction of water pollution abatement and control projects that target nonpoint sources of pollution. See the DEC Watershed Projects Database for possible projects. Other projects not currently in the database must be added to the database prior to the application deadline. 

Anticipated Release Date: May 22nd  
Application Due Date: July 5th

As in previous grant rounds, Ecosystem Restoration Grant applicants must discuss proposed projects with their basin planner. Basin planners will be entering proposed projects into the Watershed Projects Database and assigning it a database number. This number must be included in the grant application prior to submission. Applicants are strongly encouraged to give basin planners as much notice as possible.

Ecosystem Restoration Grant Webinars

Two webinars for Ecosystem Restoration Grant applicants are scheduled for Thursday, May 25th and Tuesday, June 13th.  Partners can attend the webinars in person in Montpelier (limited seating is available) or online through Skype for Business. The webinars will also be recorded and posted on the Clean Water Initiative YouTube page

Thursday, May 25th, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm: Presentation on key changes to the RFP, including application types, project categories, and reporting processes, as well as a question and answer session. To attend in person,  RSVP by email or call Marli Rupe at (802) 490-6171 by May 24th​.

Tuesday, June 13th, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm: Question and answer session for grant applicants. To attend in person,  RSVP by email or call Marli Rupe at (802) 490-6171 by June 12th.
