Tour a small, wastewater treatment facility.  See where and how the wastewater arrives, how it is processed, and how it is cleaned and sent back to the earth.  Tour guide is Water Specialist & Wastewater Operator, Margaret Dwyer.  Wear comfortable walking shoes. Meet at parking lot of Blue Gentian Lodge at 4pm.   Call 802-824-5908 to pre-register.

Public Roads Workshop: Best Management Practices for Conservation

Host:  Lamoille County Planning Commission, Lamoille County Conservation District, and the State of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation

Please join us on a site visit in Johnson of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for local road maintenance, water quality protection, and erosion prevention.

Clyde River Botanical Canoe Trip

Host:  Hardy Plant Club, Vermont Botanical and Bird Club, and North Woods Stewardship Center

Event Description:  Canoe and kayak-led field trip down a short stretch of the Clyde River in Brighton to Charleston—through some amazing fens—and identification of several really neat rare plants on the trip.
